The shift took place from April 3 to 17, 2024 on the basis of the Talent University. It was organized by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology with the support of Roscosmos State Corporation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan.

108 schoolchildren from 37 regions of Russia, including participants from the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the superfinal of the current season. In total, more than 20,000 applications were submitted from 84 regions of Russia.

During the space shift teams of participants worked on 21 projects in the field of space engineering and space data application - they developed devices for rockets and lunar rovers, invented and assembled accessible space data reception stations, trained artificial intelligence to process space images, explored forests using space images, created and tested prototypes of super-small satellites for space experiments, organized communication and control sessions with real spacecraft in Earth's orbit.

The participants of the shift were able to launch their developed training rockets, test the developed prototypes of four scientific satellites of CubeSat format in the stratosphere at an altitude of 25 km and receive temporary control over the same number of real satellites, using them to transmit photos and congratulations on Cosmonautics Day around the world, created several different data reception stations, independently established communication with the International Space Station during its flight over the camp and asked questions to Nikolai Alexandrovich Chub, a Russian cosmonaut from its operating ecosystem.

The results of the projects were demonstrated by the participants to the representatives of Roscosmos State Corporation, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, aerospace universities and Russian private companies focused on space technologies and data.

On April 16, according to the results of the shift, the winners and runners-up were determined, who received diplomas that give advantages in entering aerospace universities, memorable prizes and invitations to participate in real space missions of the Russian project of school space science Space-π.

The winners of various directions were personally congratulated by Ilsur Garaevich Khadiullin, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rifkat Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Ivan Mikhailovich Bortnik, Advisor to the Director General of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology, Russian scientist.

The organizers of the space shift "Duty on the Planet" are the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology (Foundation for Assistance to Innovations), the State Corporation for Rocket and Space Activities "Roscosmos", the Talent and Success Foundation, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan on the basis of ANO "Kazan Open University of Talents 2.0".

The contests are held with the support of Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Institute of Mechanics of Moscow State University, high-tech companies "Education of the Future", "Brothers Volt", "Lorette", "Center for Space Technologies and Services", "STC" and "Center for Space Engineering and Science Education".
