The results of the "Space Championship" were summarized in Perm

On December 9, 2024, the Second Space Championship, held as part of the International Aerospace Festival, ended in Perm. More than 120 children and 35 mentors from 30 regions of Russia participated in the championship.

The Space Championship is a competition for schoolchildren who are keen on studying aerospace technologies. The work at the championship was organized in five design teams - design bureaus. Each bureau had to design a mission to an asteroid. Specialists from Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, Lavochkin NPO, Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, RSC Energia, Moscow State University Research Institute of Mechanics, Crimean Astrophysical Observatory, private space companies Sputniks, Lorette, OKB Fifth Generation, and Education of the Future took part in the development of the championship tasks.

The results of the work were presented at the poster defense to the expert jury. The closing and awarding ceremony, which took place on December 9, was attended by: Dmitry Nikolaevich Makhonin, Governor of Perm Krai, Raisa Alekseevna Kassina, Minister of Education and Science of Perm Krai, Irina Andreyevna Kuznetsova, First Deputy Director of FTSDO, Sergey Valeryevich Prokopyev, pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of Russia, Irina Igorevna Kuchumova, Chairman of the Youth Union of Proton-PM JSC.

The winners were awarded prizes from the organizers, Roscosmos State Corporation and Proton-PM JSC.
