Registration for the VI International Chemical Dictant has started

On Wednesday, April 24, registration for participation in one of the most popular scientific events - the VI International Chemical Dictation - started. The dictation itself will be held on May 18 at 13:00 local time in the online format on the site chemdictant.rf or in person at one of the project sites. For those who study chemistry in depth, the organizers have compiled advanced level tasks, but each participant can get acquainted with questions for non-specialists.

All tasks will be presented in two languages - Russian and English. The central site will be the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University. The main theme of the dictation is "Chemistry around us".

The Chemical Dictant is organized by the Faculty of Chemistry of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Prosveshchenie Group of Companies and the All-Russian Public Organization of Teachers and Teachers of Chemistry. From 2023, the dictation will be held as part of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia and is included in the Science for the Whole Family initiative.

"The questions, compiled by the best problem writers of Moscow University, will help Chemdictant participants to take a new look at the world around them," said Acting Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University, Dr. Chemistry, Professor Sergey Karlov. - Chemistry makes human life better, healthier and more comfortable. And the more people begin to realize this, the more opportunities humanity will have for stable and active development".

The All-Russian Chemical Dictant has already become an international event. In 2023, 146 thousand participants from more than 50 countries took part in it, 88 face-to-face sites were organized across Russia. The dictation was also held in China, at the Joint MSU-PPI University in Shenzhen. In total, more than 500 thousand people took part in the dictation over five years.

The dictation is traditionally supported by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Academy of Education, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Chemists, the Andrey Melnichenko Charitable Foundation and the D.I. Mendeleev Russian Chemical Society.
