From July 1 to July 6, the final of the 13th Russian Air Engineering School Championship took place in Vladimir.
76 school and student teams from all over Russia, who passed a multi-stage selection process during the year, launched working models of rockets, spacecraft and UAVs at the Kamenovo airfield in the Kameshkovo district.

The project, which was born 13 years ago in the Research Institute of Nuclear Physics of Moscow State University with the support of Roscosmos State Corporation and Innopraktika Development Institute, teaches and educates a new generation of engineers in the interests of aerospace and other high-tech branches of science and industry, realizing a continuous trajectory of space engineering education.
Many graduates of the project have already completed their studies at specialized universities and are successfully working at the enterprises of the industry.

Competitions are held in two directions: "Apparatus" and "Carriers" in 8 leagues, differing in the age of participants and the complexity of the tasks performed. This season, new interesting and promising teams from Lugansk, Krasnodon, Kaliningrad, Tomsk and other cities, as well as winners and runners-up of the regional VISH championships held in spring (Bashkortostan, Samara and Kursk regions, LNR) joined the project and made it to the finals, bypassing the qualifying rounds.
In the "senior" leagues, the struggle for prizes was traditionally fought between the teams organized at the Southwest University (Kursk) and TsNIIMash (Korolev) for the satellite builders, and between the "Tupolevians" from Samara and the "Voimekhovians" from St. Petersburg for the rocket builders. And in the junior leagues the newcomers started confidently. So in the Junior League (6-8 grades) the 1st place was taken by the team "Key to Start" from Kaliningrad, and the 3rd place - by two seventh-graders "Zvezdochka" from Lugansk. In the Junior Rocket League (Junior GIRD), the MG-51 team from Kumertau won, also participating in the finals for the first time. In the UAV league, the team from Far Eastern Federal University (Vladivostok) became the first.

In parallel with the final starts, the Vladimir State University hosts advanced training courses for team leaders from Tyumen, Tobolsk, Rostov on Don, Chernyakhovsk, Nevinnomyssk, Alchevsk (LNR) and Mariupol, who want to join the project next season.

After a short respite, preparations will begin for the new 14th championship, which will start in September 2024.

We would like to remind you that the VISH project is supported by the MSU Cosmos School of Science and Technology
