From May 27 to June 1, the Planetarium Ekaterinburg and the Children's Technopark "Quantorium. Verkhnyaya Pyshma", a structural subdivision of the Youth Palace, will host the finals of the International Space Tournament "Orbit".

The tournament will be attended by 4 teams from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan - 25 schoolchildren and students aged 15-19 years old together with their mentors.
The children will independently create prototypes of space satellites, conduct their stratospheric launch and present their projects to experts at the final conference.

The organizers of the tournament - Engineering and Methodical Company "Education of the Future" together with the Planetarium Ekaterinburg with the support of the Federal Center for Additional Education and Organization of Rest and Recreation for Children.

International Space Tournament "Orbit" is aimed at popularization of cosmonautics and engineering directions among the young generation, support of children and youth projects, obtaining by students of advanced practical experience in the field of aerospace engineering and exchange of experience with foreign colleagues.

The tournament includes three tracks: the Satellite Building Competition, the Training Course for Space Education Mentors and the International Space Education Forum.

On June 1, a closing ceremony of the International Space Tournament "Orbit" will be held in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after V. V. Mayakovsky. The results of the scientific conference will be summarized and awards will be presented to the winners and prize-winners.
Sergey Prokopyev, Hero of the Russian Federation, pilot-cosmonaut, will take part in the awarding ceremony.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk region, the Consulates General of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, specialists from Rossotrudnichestvo and Roscosmos will give their farewells to the participants and winners on the closing day.
